Hours after chief coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh, tendered his resignation letter to his employer, Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, revelations have begun to come out on how he ran the camp of the senior national team when he was in charge.

Assistant Director (Media) in the Communications Department of the NFF, Ademola Olajire revealed Friday night during an interview on African Independent Television, AIT that Oliseh ran Eagles’ camp like a despot and he was an unrepentant arrogant person.

Olajire said that his despotic action led to the untimely retirement of former Eagles’ captain and goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, as well as striker Emmanuel Emenike.

Olajire told Nigerians that the erstwhile coach’s attitude forced the two players to their early retirement despite their importance in the national team.

“We all saw what Emenike did for his English club last weekend. The player is still in good scoring form.

“I’m happy that Samson Siasia and other coaches have been mandated to reach out to the best of our players anywhere they may be around the world for the matches against Egypt next month,” he said.

Olajire said that everybody in the NFF was taken with surprise by Oliseh’s action who was just being paid his salary arrears running to N20 million.

“We have to move on as a nation. That was why we chose coaches who were winners for this country in the past and we believe that they will deliver.

“We are aware of the difficult the games against Egypt pose for us, but we will be ready,” Olajire said.
